Family Going to Church

Bible-Centered Education

Grounded in the inspired word of God, Midwest Christian College& Seminary is Authorized by the Indiana Department of Proprietary Education  Code 21- 18.5 to operate as a Religious Degree/Certificate  Granting Institution

Purpose of accreditation,
Spiritual Formation

Religious Accreditation are done by a religious accrediting body to promote spiritual development.

Midwest Accrediting Association of Theological Institutes (M.A.A.T.S) is a private accreditation organization that is designed to provide accreditation and monitoring of the academics, policy, internal financial control system and record retention for Religious private schools, Theological Institutes and Seminaries.

We are voluntarily not recognized by the Department of Education of the US Government. As a Religious Organization we choose not to be governed by Governmental Accreditation Department. As a result of our choice, institutes accredited by M.A.A.T.S. are not allowed to accept Federal Student Loans or Federal Grants.

Therefore, to be accredited by any agency, which in turn is controlled by the U.S. Department of Education, would to some degree be a compromise of the separation of Church and State principle and could constitute a violation of the religious institutions sovereignty.
